About College
Government Degree College, Sidhra, affiliated to University of Jammu
was established in the year 2019 by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. At present, the college is
temporarily functioning from LHS Bain Bajalta located in the village Panchayat of Bain Bajalta in Dansal
block which is in close vicinity of Bajalta Railway Station.
It is located 12 km towards North from district headquarter Jammu. The college is only 04 km from
diversion to Bain Bajalta from National Highway. This college is a co-educational institution set amidst
spectacular ambience with Shivalik Hills on one side and Tawi on the other. The first batch was
comprised of 60 students, admitted in Arts and Commerce streams in 2019. Since then the college has been
functioning with flourishing and impeccable growth prospects. College provides ample opportunities and
platforms to the students for their all round personality development, carving creative potential and
preparing them to become a good citizen.

Government Degree College Sidhra, founded in 2019, is endowed with a progressive futuristic outlook. It aims to carve a distinctive niche by imparting a technologically-driven and value-inspired education to students. The college, though at its nascent stage, is yet equipped with remarkable teachers who are proficient in their subjects.
