GDC Sidhra Organised A Quiz Competition On The Theme “How Much We Know Our Constitution”and Preamble Reading

In Continuation of the activities as per the plan for the Celebration of Constitution Day under the banner of ‘My Constitution and My Pride, Literary Committee in collaboration with Department of Political science and NSS unit of GDC Sidhra under the aegis of IQAC organized a Quiz Competition on the theme “How much we know our Constitution” to enhance the knowledge of students about the Indian constitution. A total of 6 students participated in the event in which question related with the Indian Constitution were asked to them including Constitutional Articles and Amendments, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy and Fundamental Duties. There were three rounds in the competition. Students picked chits and answered the questions. There was a tie breaker round between Avid Ansari of B.A Sem III and Manharan Singh of Sem III in which Manharan Singh was declared as winner. Students participated in the event with full zeal and enthusiasm. Quiz Competition helped the participants to build self confidence and spirit as they get opportunity to recall the facts promptly and more accurately. After the quiz, preamble reading was organized in which students and faculty members participated. After that students were briefed about the importance of Preamble and historical importance of the Constitution day. Event was organised by Dr. Meesha Bhagat, Dept. of Political Science and Convener of Literary Committee with the active support of Dr. Anu Sharma, Head Department of Botany and member of Literary Committee.
