Republic Day Celebrated At GDC Sidhra

26th January 2025 To mark the glorious history of people, culture and achievements of progressive India, Department of Physical Education and Sports of Govt. Degree College Sidhra organized Republic Day Program under the theme “Golden India: Heritage and Progress” with great patriotic fervor and zeal enthusiasm. The program was started with unfurling of the National Flag by worthy Principal GDC Sidhra, Dr G.S. Rakwal, in presence of faculty members and students of the college. The flag unfurling ceremony was followed by singing of the National Anthem. The students of the college presented a speech, poetry and performed on several patriotic songs. Speaking on the occasion, Dr G.S. Rakwal congratulated the staff members and students to mark the 76th Republic Day. He remembers Indian unsung heroes who sacrifice their life for the country freedom. He addressed the gathering, expressing his pride in the rich heritage and culture of our country. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish freedom and work towards a progressive nation. He urged every student to do their bit and conscientiously work for the nation. He further went on to say that if each Indian worked for the betterment of the country, it would undoubtedly reach the pinnacle of success. At the end the entire program concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Deepak Kumar, Physical Director of the college.
