Poster Making Competition and Essay Writing competition to commemorate the 126thBirth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose

NSS in collaboration with Literary Club of Government Degree College, Sidhra has successfully organized a Poster Making Competition and Essay Writing competition to commemorate the 126thBirth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, known as Parakram Diwas. The day is celebrated in almost every state and region of India. Netaji Subhash Chander Bose was a prominent leader in India during the period of period struggle. He was born into a wealthy family and received a specialized education centered around England. Every year the 23rd of January is celebrated as the Subhash Chander Bose Jayanti. It is celebrated to honor the birthday of Netaji, a renowned Indian Freedom fighter. The program started with a welcome address by Prof. Meesha Bhagat, Convener of Literary Club of GDC Sidhra. She threw light on the relevance and importance of the day. A Number of students of different semesters of the college participated in theCompetitions. In poster making Competition Nikhil, Chahat Sharma, Simran, Ateek, Zaida Kousar and Major participated and in Essay Writing Competition Aryan Manhas, Wasiq Ul Hasan, Shakeel Ahmed, Saprina Naz, Nussarat Jan, Kaif, Preetam Singh contributed. All these students also uploaded poster and essays on an online website of mygovt.Students named Wasiq ul Hassan, Aryan Manhas and Shakeel Ahmed also read their Essays in front of the students to enlighten them about Subhash Chander Bose. Principal, Dr. B.B Anand also encouraged and motivated the students with their enthusiastic participation in the event. The event was organized byDr. Mehmood Ahmed, NSS, PO and Prof. Meesha Bhagat Convener of Literary Club with the contribution of Dr Tania Baloria.
