50 Hours Skill Based Training Program On Mutual Fund Launched By Bombay Stock Exchange In GDC Sidhra Concludes

Govt Degree College Sidhra in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) ltd completed 50 hours Skill based Training Program on Mutual Funds. The course was formally launched on 21st of October 2023 by Mr. Irfan Ahmed Khanji, State Head J&K, BSE Institute Ltd. 35 students of different semesters of the college registered for the course and attended it. A formal closing ceremony of the program was held on 3rd of Nov, 2023 at Care College, Dogra Sadan Jammu. Worthy Principal of the college Dr. B B Anand was the chief Guest of the event. Dr. B B Anand, Principal GDC Sidhra speaking on the occasion stressed on the need of such type of skill courses for the younger generations for self-employment which is also the demand of NEP-2020. He asked the students to take benefit from such programs which are offered free of cost to students by BSE. He lauded the efforts of Dr. Anshu Gupta, Nodal officer for the implementation of skill courses, for co-ordinating the course and congratulated all members of the committee for taking this initiative by collaborating with BSE. He also thanked Mr. Irfan Ahmed Khanji for his valuable support and for making necessary arrangements for the conduct of the course. State Head BSE, Mr. Irfan Ahmed Khanji made the participants aware that after completing this course they shall be eligible for registration under National Institute of Security Markets (NISM) and made them aware that NISM certificate is mandatory for any Bank related Job. Dr. Anshu Gupta congratulated the students for completing the 50 hr course and said that this program has been designed to attract bright young graduates/doing graduation who want to build a career in Banking Industry/Mutual Fund. She also thanked Mr. Akhil Mahajan, Trainer of the course for smooth conduct and culmination of the course. The program was attended by Dr. Anshu Gupta, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Dr. Anu Sharma, Mr. Irfan Ahmed, State Head Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mr. Akhil Mahajan Trainer, BSE.
