Awareness Campaign: Say No to Polythene, Save Surya Putri (Tawi) As desired by the Hon’ble Mayor, Jammu that Jammu Municipal Corporation needs services of NSS Volunteers for strict implementation of ban on polythene within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation, NSS Volunteers of GDC Sidhra, visited Tawi Bridge Sidhra and sensitized the public about the plastic pollution and its ill effects. They disseminated the message among the public by interacting with them and through placards and banners reflecting the messages ‘Say No to Polythene’, ‘Save Surya Putri Tawi’, Do not immerse Sakh in River Tawi and other used religious material. Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation also participated in the campaign and interacted with the NSS Volunteers and guided them to do the same. NSS Volunteers were accompanied by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO NSS Unit GDC Sidhra. Volunteers participated in the campaign with full enthusiasm and conveyed the message to the public.
