Celeberation Of National Road Safety Month 2025

In view of observance of ‘National Road Safety Month 2025’ Road Safety Club in collaboration with NSS Unit of the college organised a series of activities including an awareness rally as well as lecture with an attempt to propagate the cause of safer road amongst the general public. The main aim of the awareness rally was to educate the general public on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, providing information on the latest road safety technology and best practices as well as to promote responsible driving behaviour such as avoiding distractions, obeying speed limit and respecting traffic signal. The volunteers enthusiastically were seen educating the riders to essentially wear helmets for preventing concussions and preventing them from brain damage and injuries from accidents. In her address to the students, Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary (Convener) Road Safety Club, emphasised on fostering community involvement through local events, road safety works and interactive sessions in addition to encouraging school, business and local organisations to actively participate in spreading the road safety message. Proceeding further, Dr. Purvaiya Hans, Programme Officer (NSS) advocated to the students for use of seat belts, helmets and other safety gears to reduce the severity of injuries in case of accidents. The programme was organised under the able guidance of worthy Principal Prof (Dr.) G.S Rakwal with active participation of Dr. Harpreet Kour, Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary (Convener) Road Safety Club, Dr. Purvaiya Hans Programme Officer (NSS) as well as members of these clubs.
