Day-1 Survey Of Youth Not In Formal Education Or Regular Employment

NSS Unit GDC Sidhra, under the aegis of IQAC and banner of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, inaugurated a Three-Day Special NSS Camp (23-25 March, 2023) on "Survey of Youth Not in Formal Education or Regular Employment". During this three-day long Camp, NSS Volunteers of the College will conduct a detailed survey of all the youth (15 to 29 years) in the adopted village of the college, Bain Bajalta, who are neither enrolled in formal education nor a part of any regular employment. The data collected by the volunteers through the questionnaire on youth employment and formal education will be helpful to Govt. to frame adequate policies for social development. Program Officer, Dr Mehmood Ahmed motivated the volunteers to diligently collect the required data in the three days NSS Camp as it would benefit not only individuals but society at large. NSS Volunteers participated in the inaugural day of the camp with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Three-Day Special Camp was successfully inaugurated under the able guidance of the worthy Principal of the College, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Anand. The inaugural session of the camp was organized with the active support and coordination of Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Program Officer NSS, and other members of NSS Unit- Prof. Deepa Kak, Dr. Satbir Kour, Prof. Rudrika Khajuria and Dr. Mahak.
