Today Dec. 22, 2022 we celebrated “Dogri Manyta Diwas” to spread the Dogri Language and perpetuate the rich Cultural Heritage of Dogra. Govt Degree College Sidhra, Department of Dogri organized a Programme on Dogri Manyta Diwas. The programme was commenced with the formal welcome address by Dr. Satbir Kour, Dept. of Punjabi. The Chief Guest of the Programme was Principal Dr. B.B. Anand. He said the motivation for organizing such programme is to provide a platform for young people to learn Language. He lauded the efforts and contribution of Dogri Department. A number of various students from different semester and faculty members joined the programme. On this event, a lecture was delivered by Prof. Pooja Sharma, Department of Dogri, and appraised the students about the history and development of Dogri Language. The programme also included with a student reciting a poem titled “Dogra Desh Jagayi Jaya” to aware the importance of Dogri Language. The programme was concluded by Prof. Harpreet Kour, Department of Political Science.
