GDC Sidhra Organised A "Hindi Kavita Pratiyogita"

In continuation of activities organised to celebrate Hindi Diwas, Dogri Department in collaboration with NSS unit of GDC Sidhra organised a "Hindi Kavita Pratiyogita". Students read out poems based on the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. Poems were recited with an aim of motivating the students to follow the principles of truth and non violence as preached by Gandhi ji. Students of all the semesters participated in the event with full zeal and enthusiasm. The students came up with different poems on the theme and enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words. Such events help students to build confidence as they learn to speak the Hindi language more accurately and finely. Event was adjudged by Dr. Harpreet Kour, HOD Political Science and Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary, HOD Economics. First prize was won by Mannat Gupta of B. Com Sem-V, second by Neha Khokhar of Sem-V and third by Ambika Sharma of Sem-III. Event was organised by Prof. Pooja Sharma, HOD Dogri with active coordination of Dr. Anu Sharma, HOD Botany under the able guidance of principal of the college Dr. B. B Anand.
