GDC Sidhra Organized A Program To Celebrate “Hindi Diwas”

GDC Sidhra under the ageis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav organized a program to celebrate “Hindi Diwas”. Hindi Diwas celebrated on 14th of September every year, holds great significance in promoting the Hindi language nation wide and conveying its importance and usage. The guest of honor for the programme was Dr. B.B. Sharma, distinguished and eminent personality. The welcome address for the programme was delivered by Prof. Pooja Sharma HOD of Dogri. This was followed by a speech by worthy Principal of the college. Dr. B.B. Anand wherein he shared his valuable thoughts with the faculty and students. Further, Dr. B.B. Sharma had a vibrant interaction with the gathering and shared his experience and words wisdom. He focused on the significance of Hindi Language as a medium of binding people together. He traced the origin of Hindi Language. He emphasized the role played by Hindi Language in the struggle for Independence. Hindi Language plays a vital role in every domain of our life. We must promote Hindi Language. The program was organized under the patronship of principal of the college, Dr. B.B. Anand. The programme was successfully conducted by Dr. Satbir Kour, HOD Punjabi and Prof. Pooja Sharma, HOD Dogri. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Princy Sharma.
