Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) organized Awareness Program on “Various Research Projects of the Central Ministry on Dogri Language.” The resource person for the program was Dr. Preeti Dubey, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Sciences, Government College for Parade, Jammu who has developed the first Hindi to Dogri machine translation system with the Copyright from the Government of India in 2014. She insisted the college regarding the promotion of Central Ministry Research Project AI-4 Bharat funded by Meity (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). She briefed the students about taking of Dogri subject as a subject and emphasized on reviving the mother language as NEP is also focusing on MIL. Fluency in mother language must be encouraged. Students were also told about the part-time job opportunities in the project. The Principal of the college emphasized Skill course on translational studies must be encouraged. Co-ordinator of Institutional Incubation Council (IIC), Dr. Anshu Gupta requested Dr. Preeti Dubey to plan a workshop in which students can be made aware about the part time job opportunities after studying Dogri. Dr. Preeti also interacted with Dr. Pooja Sharma, Assistant Professor in Dogri and asked her to encourage the students to come forward and take this subject. The program was organized by Dr. Anshu Gupta, coordinator IIC of the college with active support and cooperation of Prof. Pooja Sharma, Assistant Professor in Dogri of the college.
