Medical Camp Organized By NSS Unit GDC Sidhra

Keeping in view the current uptick in the trend of Covid cases, NSS Unit GDC Sidhra, under the aegis of IQAC and banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav, organized a medical camp. Dr Sarika, Medical Officer, Health Center Bain Bajalta interacted with students and delivered a lecture emphasizing on how COVID-19 has negatively impacted the health and lifestyle of one and all. She reminded students that since close person-to-person contact appears to be the main source of transmission, social distancing remains the key way to mitigate its spread. Face masks have become essential accessories in protecting oneself and others from contracting COVID-19. She also apprised students of the most common symptoms of COVID-19: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea. Dr Sarika encouraged students to ensure a healthy lifestyle by remaining physically active. This was followed by distribution of requisite immunity boosting medicines to students and staff of the college. The program was organized under the able guidance of the worthy Principal of the college, Dr B. B. Anad. The program was coordinated by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, NSS PO of the college, Prof. Deepa Kak, Dr. Satbir Kour, Prof Rudrika Khajuria and Dr. Sarika, Medical Officer, Health Center Bain Bajalta.
