NSS WINTER CAMP INAUGRATED AT GDC SIDHRA

NSS Unit of GDC Sidhra inaugurated a 7-Day Winter Camp w.e.f 04-01-2024 to 10-01-2024 for NSS Volunteers under the aegis of IQAC and banner of Viksit Bharat @2047. The foremost objective of the camp is to inculcate social values among the youth in general and NSS Volunteers in particular in order to create a healthy society. This time the camp is being organised at the new college premises. The camp was inaugurated by Ch. Rehmat Ali, BDC Chairman, Bain Bajalta. In his speech the chief guest applauded the efforts of the Principal of the college and NSS PO, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed. He also motivated and congratulated the volunteers for their selfless service towards the society. The occasion was also graced by DDC member Shameem Akhter. Speaking on the occasion she congratulated Principal, Staff and especially volunteers for the camp and assured all possible help on their part. Further uniform to NSS Volunteers was also distributed by the Worthy Principal and the chief guests. Principal of the college, Dr. B. B. Anand, in his address speech applauded the NSS Unit of the college for their untiring efforts in organizing the camp. He encouraged the students to adopt the idea of service as our way of life to render this world a better place to live. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, NSS PO of the college, elucidated that the purpose of organizing the NSS Winter Camp is to motivate and prepare the students for community service and nation building. He also briefed the volunteers about the various activities and events to be organized during the week long camp. NSS Volunteers of the college enlivened the event with their scintillating cultural performances. About 40 plus volunteers are participating in the camp. Volunteers are divided into 4 groups and all activities will be conducted group wise and at the end of the event the groups will be rewarded for their best work done. On the second day of the camp the students bifurcated the college lawn and prepared the track/ path in the new college premises. The proceedings of the event were carried forward by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO NSS Unit with the active support and coordination of Dr. Adil, PTI and Mr. Ashraf Choudhary Junior Assistant GDC Sidhra.The program was organized under the patronship of Dr. B. B. Anand, Principal GDC Sidhra.
