Poster Making Competition On The Theme ‘Clean Water And Sanitation’

Under the series of activities being conducted in connection with G20 Summit, Department of Sociology in collaboration with NSS Unit under the aegis of IQAC and G20 and the banner of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’. The activity was conducted as a part of the myriad of activities under the celebration of India’s Presidency of G20 Summit, focusing on the fact that one of the chief objectives of G20 is to work towards the realization of sustainable development goals. A number of students from different semesters participated in the competition and exhibited their immense talent by preparing highly appreciative posters relevant to the theme. The efforts put in by each single participant was commendable. The posters were ajudged by Prof. Harpreet Kour, HOD Political Science and Prof. Deepa Kak, HOD Education. The first position was secured by Jattin Parihar of B.A. Sem V, the second position was shared by Umer Hussain of B.A. Sem V and Ranjan of B. A. Sem III and at the third position stood Ritika Sharma of B.A. Sem III . The programme was organized under the patronship of worthy Principal of the college Dr. B.B. Anand. He congratulated all the participants for their valuable participation and encouraged them to participate in such activities in future too. The programme was organized by Prof. Shonima Malhotra, Coordinator G20 Committee. She deliberated upon the theme to the students to enable them to prepare their posters. The programme was made successful with the joint efforts of Department of Sociology and NSS Unit of the college.
