Republic Day Celebrated at GDC Sidhra To celebrate “Republic Day” and the glorious history of people, culture and achievements of progressive India, the NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra under the aegis of IQAC and Banner of Viksit Bharat @2047 organised a colorful cultural program. The program began with the unfurling of National flag by the Principal of the college Dr. B.B Anand in presence of Head Master, Govt. Lower High School Bain Bajalta Mtr. Shahnaz Bano, faculty members and students of the school and College. Flag unfurling was followed by the National Anthem. Proceeding further students presented different cultural items on the occasion. Kajal and Aswali of B.A Sem I performed dance on patriotic song. Tannu and Bharti of B.A Sem III also showcased their performance through beautiful dance.Mannat Gupta of B.Com of Sem V also participated in the cultural event. The proceedings of the program were carried out by Syed Muzammil of B.A Sem V. At the end of the program Worthy Principal of the college greeted the students and spoke at length about the relevance of the day. The program ended with the vote of thanks presented by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO, NSS Unit GDC Sidhra.The program was organized under the able guidance of Principal Dr. B.B Anand. The program was attended by the faculty, staff and students of the college. The students participated in the event with full enthusiasm. Principal, Dr.B.B Anand congratulated the students for their participation in the event with full enthusiasm. The event was organized by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO NSS Unit and Prof. Deepa Kak, Coordinator NSS Unit GDC Sidhra. The event was successful with the coordination of Dr.Anu Sharma, HOD, Department of Botany and Dr. Rudrika Khajuria , Assistant Professor, Depatment of English GDC Sidhra.
