Republic Day Celebrated At GDC Sidhra

To mark the glorious history of people, culture and achievements of progressive India, the NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra under the aegis of IQAC and banner of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrated Republic Day in the college with great patriotic fervour and zeal. The program was started with hoisting of the National Flag by worthy Principal GDC Sidhra, Dr B. B. Anand, in presence of Incharge Police Post Sidhra, Mr. Mohd Rashid, Sub Inspector and Head Master Government Lower High School Bain Bajalta, Mr Gulzar Wani, faculty members and students. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by singing of the National Anthem. The students of the college along with students of Government Lower High School Bain Bajalta presented a Cultural Program wherein they sung and performed on several patriotic songs. Speaking on the occasion, Dr B. B. Anand Anand congratulated the staff members and students to mark the 74th Republic Day. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish freedom and work towards a progressive nation.
