Run For Unity Observed To Commemorate Vigilance Awareness Week

NSS unit in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club of GDC Sidhra today observed Run for Unity on the occasion of National Unity Day which commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel also known as The Iron Man of India. The idea behind the run embodies the spirit of unity. The theme for Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 is “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” and every year it is being observed to bring all stakeholders in spreading the message of integrity in all spheres of life. Various awareness programmes for vigilance awareness are being organised across UT of J&K in this connection. NSS volunteers work tirelessly to preserve these values and consider it as their duty to continue nurturing and upholding them. In order to fulfill the same NSS unit of the college observed ‘Run for Unity’ andvolunteers interacted with local communities and made them aware about the vigilance week which is being observed throughout the country. The whole event was conducted by Dr. Purvaiya Hans, NSS Programme Officer and Dr.Mussarat Chowdhary, Convenor Red Ribbon Club under the able guidance of Dr. G S Rakwal, Principal GDC Sidhra. The whole event was attended by Dr. Harpreet Kour, Dr. Shonima Malhotra, Dr. Anu Sharma, Mr. Deepak Kumar, Dr.Owais, Dr. Mansoor and all other faculty members.
