Screening Of Short Movie Tittled "KHADI"

In continuation of the activities organized to celebrate Khadi Mahotsav, Department
of History in collaboration with NSS Unit of GDC Sidhra under the aegis of IQAC
organised the screening of short movie tittled "KHADI". The purpose of the
programme was to orient the students with the development of Khadi in India.
Addressing the students Dr. Punam Rani highlighted that Khadi is not merely a
piece of cloth but a symbol of sacrifice ,struggle and dreams of countless people
who believed in the power of unity and unwavering determination. This screening
offered the students a unique opportunity to know the glourious history of Khadi.
Khadi which became the pride of Indians during the national movement has
become a powerful weapon to eradicate poverty and fighting with unemployment.
The programme was organized by Dr. Punam Rani, Assistant Professor in History
with the active support of P.O. NSS Mehmood Ahmed, under the patronship of
Dr. B.B. Anand, Principal of the college.
