In an attempt to make voters empowered, vigilant and informed GDC Sidhra Organised the Symposium and Extempore on the topic Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye. Dr.Mussarat Chowdhary addressed students regarding their right to vote which is the cornerstone of democratic society, ensuring citizens to have a voice in governance. It empowers individuals to influence policies, elect representative and shape the future of their community and nation.NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed also elaborated the intricacies involved in it, so that students could understand and learn the procedure involved in casting vote. Unless one choses the right representative through right to vote, one cannot build the true structure of democracy. Number of students participated in the extempore competition. The declared winners of the same were 1. Zakir Hussain 2. Syed Muzamil 3. Ambika Sharma. The event was conducted successfully by Dr. Harpreet Kour Convener “SVEEP,” Dr.Mussarat Chowdhary, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Mehmood Ahmed.
