Symposium On The Theme "Be A Road Safety Hero"

Road Safety Club in collaboration with NSS unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra in view of observing “Road Safety Month 2024” organised a “Symposium” on the theme “Be a Road Safety Hero,” emphasizing the role of collective action in creating a secure environment for all road users. The main aim of the symposium was to educate the public on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulation, Providing information on the latest road safety technologies and best practices as well as to Promote responsible driving behaviors, such as avoiding distractions, obeying speed limits, and respecting traffic signals. To Advocate the use of seat belts, helmets, and other safety gear to reduce the severity of injuries in case of accidents. Emphasis was also laid on Fostering community involvement through local events, road safety walks, and interactive sessions in addition to Encouraging schools, businesses, and local organizations to actively participate in spreading the road safety message. In leieu of the same , several students participated in the symposia organised.The programme was organized under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr. B.B. Anand. Dr. Harpreet Kour, HOD Political Science, Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary, HOD Economics members of Road Safety Club as well as Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO NSS was present on the occasion.
