Qualification: Bachelor’s Certificate for those students who exit the programme after the first year.
Duration: Successful completion of first year or Two semesters of the UG programme.

MAJOR COURSE (MJ): A major course as discipline specific course is the field in which a student wants to graduate for 3 years bachelor degree or 4 years bachelor degree with honours/honours with research. Students should secure the prescribed number of credits (about 50% of total) through core courses in the major discipline.
MINOR COURSE (MI): A minor course can be opted from any discipline other than major that is available in college.
MULTI DISCIPLINARY COURSES (MD): Any subject/s of student’s choice which is of interdisciplinary nature from faculties other than major with the condition that the subject opted shall not be repeated in any semester. A MD course is an option to explore disciplines of interest beyond the choices students make in major course(s). Students are not allowed to take the same courses studied in the 12th under the multidisciplinary category.
ABILITY ENHANCEMENT COURSES (AE): These are generic skill courses aimed to enhance skills in Communication, Language, and the ability to participate/conduct discussion and debate. It may be modern Indian Language (MIL), English language (general), or Communication skill. MIL includes Hindi/Dogri/Urdu/Punjabi.
SKILL ENHANCEMENT COURSES (SE): These are aimed to promote skills pertaining to particular field of study. The purpose of these courses is to provide students life-skills in hands-on mode to increase their employability/ self-employment.
VALUE ADDED COURSES (VA): Value added interdisciplinary courses are targeted to enhance the standard of students beyond specified academic curriculum.
VOCATIONAL COURSES (4 credits/ 8 weeks)
Vocational course is an integral part of the programme to impart skills along with theory and practical which will help the students to equip with job-oriented skills who exit without completing the program. It is anticipated that after completing the 04-credit vocational course the student should be able to generate some livelihood after exiting the college.
SUMMER INTERNSHIP: A short internship of 15 days duration in the 5th semester for a job/professional training in a suitable organization or hands on training or activity-based course at college level to gain work experience.
Community engagement and service: This can also be a part of summer term activity.
Field-based learning/minor-project: It will facilitate students to gain profound insights on the subject matter with practical knowledge.
